Once done, she lay on the bed and called Madisyn, asking her to bring Ariadna over. During the call, Belinda shared the events that had unfolded downstairs.

On the other end, Madisyn couldn’t contain her frustration, saying, “Joyce will do anything to marry Kristopher and gain the Cox family’s favor. It’s quite common for twins to experience a sort of telepathy. Both you and your sister work in jewelry design and share the same genes, so it’s expected that you’d have similar ideas. Didn’t your sister create a design very similar to one of yours previously?”

Belinda closed her eyes and nodded. “Yes. I checked the dates, and my sister’s design was actually made about a year before mine. But before I came out of the coma, I had no idea I even had a sister.”

Regardless of what people thought, Belinda truly believed in the twin connection.

“Exactly!” Madisyn responded sharply. “Remember on Corwald Island when Joyce approached you first, pointing out similarities between your design and Belinda’s? She was trying to glean insights into your creative process to see how Belinda approached her designs. At that time, Joyce didn’t know you were twins. Now that she’s aware, she’s still accusing you of plagiarism. How ridiculous!”

The more Madisyn talked, the more angrier she became. “She claims she’s defending your originality, but that’s just a lie. She’s upset that your news with Dashawn is outshining her and Kristopher’s wedding announcement, and she’s furious you made the Nelson family look foolish during that livestream. Joyce is using this situation as a means of revenge. Belinda, I never imagined that Joyce, who was like our best friend, could change so much after being incapacitated for four years. Belinda sniffed and then smiled weakly. “But it’s okay. I’ve already died once. If she’s abandoned this deceased friend, there’s no reason for me to hold onto the past. I should forget about her and Kristopher too.”

Hearing this, Madisyn finally let out a sigh of relief. “Belinda, I was really concerned that she might get to you, that you’d be hurt, and it would affect your health and current life. But seeing how you’re managing, I feel relieved.”

Before Madisyn could finish, Ariadna’s soft and endearing voice interrupted from the other end, “Madisyn, when can we visit Mommy? I miss her so much.”
