Naomi held Tessa’s hand as she led Tessa around the villa, heading toward the backyard.

Night had fallen by now, and the stars were twinkling in the sky.

However, it was strange because there were only dim garden lamps lighting the way.

Tessa commented, “Naomi, you’re acting very strangely.”

“We’re here,” Naomi said out of nowhere.

“Here, where?” Tessa was utterly befuddled.

Naomi didn’t answer that question. Instead, she gently pushed Tessa forward and said with a smile, “Stephen wants to stargaze with you. Sienna and I were tasked with bringing you here.”

Sienna was beaming as she remarked, “Mission accomplished! We’ll see you later.”

Then, the two promptly spun on their heels and left Tessa there.

Tessa grew even more curious as to what was going on. As such, she turned her attention to the familiar figure standing before her.

Stephen was dressed in a tailored black tuxedo. He had a white dress shirt underneath his blazer and a black bow tie around his neck. The ensemble softened his aloof demeanor, bringing forth a hint of elegance.

“Stargaze?” Tessa shot Stephen an inquisitive look.

There was a hint of mirth in his gentle gaze. “Yes, we’re stargazing.”

Then, he took her hand in his and led her down the path.

As her eyes adjusted to the dim lighting, she eventually realized that they were in a garden.

“Tess, look up,” he murmured into her ear. So, she did exactly that.

Frankly, she was only going to give the sky a cursory glance. However, that changed when she saw the scene before her eyes.

Streaks of dazzling starlight cut across the sky, leaving a dreamlike trail before they disappeared from her line of sight.

“It’s a meteor shower!” she exclaimed in awe.

“Hang on. How is this happening? I don’t remember seeing anything about a meteor shower on the news,” she breathed in astonishment, her eyes never leaving the night sky.

After all, the news would always report rare natural phenomena like meteor showers whenever they were expected to occur.

Tessa hadn’t seen a weather forecast or even heard about it from anyone.

Just as she was trying to puzzle things out, Stephen’s deep voice rang out, saying, “Because this meteor shower is for you, and only you.”

Tessa turned to look at him, slightly dumbstruck. “You did this?”

Stephen hummed in acknowledgement before saying, “Make a wish, Tess.”

Tessa stared at him. “It’s your birthday today. You should be the one making a wish.”

Stephen’s eyes were filled with nothing but deep affection for her as he replied lowly, “My wish is to help you fulfill all of your wishes.”

Tessa was touched by his words. So, she closed her eyes and clasped her hands in prayer, making a wish under the passing meteor shower.

She wished with all her might, thinking, “I hope my friends and family with live happy and healthy lives. I wish I could get my happily ever after with Stephen. I wish with all my heart that I can live with him till we’re old and gray.”

After she was done, she slowly opened her eyes and continued to happily watch the meteor shower.

The wondrous meteor shower dashing across the night sky was the most breathtaking display of their love for one another.

Tessa couldn’t help but sigh at the absolutely amazing sight. “So this is what you

meant when you said you wanted to stargaze.”

Stephen said nothing. Instead, he tilted his head to look at her lovingly.

She was watching the meteor shower, but he only had eyes for her.

Meanwhile, Stephen’s guests were also enjoying the view from the villa’s courtyard.

Jasmine cried out enthusiastically, “Good Lord! A meteor shower! It’s a meteor shower, guys!”

Molly clicked her tongue. “That’s odd. I don’t remember seeing any reports of a meteor shower tonight. Usually, news anchors would report astronomical phenomena like this.”

Jasmine stopped short. “You’re right. Now that you mention it, it really is strange.”

Naomi, who was standing nearby, explained, “That’s because Stephen prepared this artificial meteor shower just for Tessa.”

“What? Artificial… meteor shower?” Jasmine jerked her head to look at Naomi, her eyes bulging with shock. “Can you artificially create a meteor shower? You’re not pulling my leg? This is the first time I’ve ever heard of something so ridiculous

Molly blurted, equally surprised, “This is a first for me, too. Not only have I not heard of this, but it’s also actually happening right before my eyes. Though, I have to say, ‘s a beautiful sight to behold.”
