Someone in the crowd remarked, “An artificial meteor shower like this costs tens

of millions per second. Stephen must really love Tessa to spend so much money

on this.”

Jasmine’s jaw dropped. “What the fuck? Tens of millions per second? I still count

coppers whenever I spend on gacha games! Mr. Jacobson’s definitely living up to

his name with this display.”

Molly added, “My horizons have broadened so much that I think I’ve gotten lost.

Still, it’s thanks to Tessa that I could witness a meteor shower that costs such a

pretty penny.”

One of Stephen’s friends turned to the person next to him and said, “So it really is

an artificial meteor shower, then? What’s Stephen up to with this grand gesture?”

“It’s his birthday today, but he arranged a meteor shower just for Tessa. Could it

be that he’s planning to propose tonight?”

Quentin arched a brow and drawled, “You’ve caught on, huh? Didn’t you see what

Stephen was wearing earlier? He even wore a bow tie. It’s so over the top that it’s

obvious he’s going to propose. How are you guys this slow on the uptake?”

The other party scoffed. “Please. You’re one of his best friends. It’s only natural

that you’d know what he’s planning.”

Jasmine didn’t bother to contain herself as she squealed with delight. “Oh, my

God! Mr. Jacobson is going to propose to Tessa? I can’t believe it! This is literally

my dream come true!”

Just then, Molly tugged on Jasmine’s chiffon sleeve and said urgently, “Look over

there! It’s a drone show!”

A multitude of softly glowing drones seemed to have appeared out of nowhere,

sparkling like diamonds in the night sky.

The drones split into two formations. The ones on the left formed the shape of a

massive diamond ring, while those on the right took the form of a slender hand.

The ring gradually moved toward the hand and eventually slipped onto the finger.

Soon after, the image shifted as the drones formed two Britharian words across

the sky-Marry me!

It was indeed a proposal.

The crowd erupted into cheers of jubilation.

Jasmine even started to shake Molly in her enthusiasm. “It’s happening! It’s really

happening! Mr. Jacobson is proposing to Tessa! God, this is so romantic!”

Molly laughed as she tried to steady herself. “Jasmine, you’re shaking me so hard

that my brains are sloshing out of my ears.”

Jasmine immediately let Molly go as she said with a grin, “Sorry, Molly. I got too

excited.”

In contrast with the rowdy courtyard, the gardens were quiet and serene.

Tessa and Stephen were the only ones there.

Tessa felt her heart pound wildly against her chest.

She looked up at the night sky, staring at those words, caught completely off

guard.

In fact, she only managed to snap out of it when she heard Stephen’s voice

saying, “Tess, will you marry me?”

Before she knew it, he had gotten

down on one knee and was holding

a deep blue velvet box. There was a

uniquely designed diamond ring

nestled inside.

Tessa looked at Stephen and noticed that he was actually nervous.

Was he worried that she would say no?

Why? She would definitely say yes.

At that moment, Tessa suddenly felt the urge to burst into tears.

Their romance had been filled with

pitfalls and deadly obstacles at

nearly every turn. It had gotten so

bad that they nearly lost each other.

She looked into his eyes as tears rolled down her cheek like unstrung pearls.

These were tears of joy as she felt a myriad of emotions seemingly bursting out of

her chest.

“Yes,” Tessa murmured softly.

Stephen let out a sigh of relief as he slipped the ring onto her finger.

Suddenly, the lights around them lit up.

Fireworks shot up into the air, painting the night sky in various shades of vibrant

colors.

The guests who had been in the

front yard had all rushed to the

garden. Each of them was more

boisterous than the last, cheering

with wild abandon. It was as if they

were the ones getting married.

Quentin grinned, punching Stephen on the shoulder lightly. “Congratulations. I

expect to be invited to the wedding very soon.”

Naomi also had a smile on her face. “Tessa, forget about getting engaged. Just

get married!”

Sienna laughed as she said, “I agree.” The Novel will be updated first on this website. Come back and continue reading tomorrow, everyone!
