Paintings and sculptures decorated the walls, adding a touch of creativity and elegance.

The solid wood and leather furniture spoke volumes about the owner’s refined style and considerable wealth.

Sierra had visited this villa twice before. Both times, she found herself mesmerized by its charm and luxury, though deep down, she couldn’t help but feel a pang of envy. This exclusive neighborhood was home to the elite.

Walking down the street here often meant crossing paths with celebrities, business tycoons, or influential politicians.

Blayze was seated on the plush sofa, legs crossed, dressed in a casual sweater. His attention was fixed on the Latest newspaper, which he read with quiet focus.

At Blayze’s feet was a man bound tightly, with a gag covering his mouth.

Sierra’s eyes Locked on the man’s face, and she froze. Her heart began to race. How had he ended up here?

“Mr. Fowler, Miss Rivera has arrived,” the assistant announced calmly.

“Blayze..” Sierra’s voice shook as she spoke, her fear clear.

Blayze set the newspaper aside and looked at her with cold eyes. He gestured toward the man on the floor. “Do you recognize him?”

This man was the detective Sierra had hired. Just an hour ago, he had sent her some photos. She never imagined he’d slip up and get himself caught like this.

“I… I.” Sierra stammered, her face drained of color as she tried to backtrack. “Blayze, it wasn’t me! I had nothing to do with it! It was Rita! She told me to do it. I swear, it wasn’t my idea!”

Sierra figured now that Blayze confronted her, either the detective had spilled everything, or something incriminating had been found on his phone.

She knew she couldn’t deny it, so she desperately shifted the blame.

Blayze’s lips curled into a faint smile. “Everything you’re saying is being recorded, including what you just admitted. I’ll make sure Rita hears it.”

Sierra’s face went pale, and her chest tightened as panic set in. “No. No, it’s not Rita’s fault. It’s mine! I told him to do it!”

“Why?” Blayze asked, his voice steady and firm.

“I was just curious, that’s all!” Sierra said, her words tumbling out in a rush. “Rita thought Tyrone might meddle in the case, so she wanted this man to keep tabs on Tyrone. Yesterday, this man noted Sabrina had come to Violetholt and went to Etheid Villa… Blayze, you have to believe me! I was onlyscurious, nothing more!”

Sierra had, in fact, arranged for someone to spy on Blayze’s private affairs, but she hadn’t planned for it to go any further. Her legal troubles were already piling up. She had only avoided jail time because she was in a lactation period, and she couldn’t risk doing anything that might worsen her situation or extend her sentence.

Blayze’s eyes were icy as he threw a stack of papers at her. The documents hit her face and scattered across the floor. “Just curious? Then explain this!”

Sierra flinched and shut her eyes for a moment, her heart pounding in dread.

Her hands trembled as she picked up one of the pages from the mess on the floor. Her face turned ghostly white as she read the bold headline: “Love Triangle? Blayze Fowler and Sabrina Chavez Have a Child!”

The Logo of a well-known newspaper agency was printed at the top of the page.

The headline was clearly from a news article that hadn’t been published yet, likely intercepted by Blayze before it went public.

Sierra panicked and began denying everything. “How could this happen? Blayze, I swear it has nothing to do with me! I didn’t do this-I don’t know anything about it!”

Blayze’s expression remained cold and unyielding. “Don’t lie to me. You’ve always been jealous of Sabrina. You even orchestrated to kidnap her and sell her in some remote village once before. Now, you found out about our relationship, felt jealous, and used the lingering curiosity of the public to leak this to the press to destroy her reputation!”

If that story made it to the headlines, the backlash from public opinion would be devastating.

“I’m innocent, Blayze! I just found out about this myself. How could I have had the time to send it to a journalist?” Sierra protested, her voice trembling with desperation.

Sierra indeed envied Sabrina and had considered revealing this secret, but that was all it had been-a fleeting thought. She hadn’t acted on it.

“The press claimed they received this article earlier today, just thirty minutes ago,” Blayze said coldly.

The timing lined up perfectly, leaving no room for coincidence.

Sierra felt tears welling up, frustration and fear overwhelming her. No matter what she said, it seemed impossible to clear her name.

Desperate, Sierra placed her phone on the table in front of him. “Blayze, if you don’t believe me, go through my phone. I swear it wasn’t me!”

Blayze arched an eyebrow, his tone sharp with mockery. “Do you think anyone would be stupid enough to use their own phone for something like this?”

A faint, cruel smile appeared on his face as he leaned back. “Sierra, consider this your final warning. If this ever goes public, I’ll make sure you’re sent to the poorest corner of the world—and you’ll never come back.”

Chills; ran down Sierra’s spine as images of the harshest life imaginable filled her mind. She saw filthy water, unreliable electricity, and meals with food issues. Rivers polluted with waste, streets plagued by crime, and neighborhoods ruled by thieves and gangs. It was a nightmare she could hardly bear to imagine. She couldn’t bear the thought of living like that.

“Blayze, I swear it wasn’t me!” Sierra pleaded, her voice trembling. “You can accuse me all you want, but think about this carefully. Though you had intercepted it this time, if you don’t find the real person behind it, they’ll try again. This news will still come out eventually.”

Blayze’s expression didn’t soften. “That’s your problem to deal with. If it leaks, you’ll be the one I hold responsible.”

Sierra hesitated, her voice barely above a whisper. “And what about Rita?”

Blayze’s eyes narrowed, his tone cutting like a blade. “If you’re eager to end up in the slums, then go ahead and involve her. Don’t even think about pulling any stunts. I’ll have someone watching your every move.”

His glare silenced her. Sierra lowered her head, too afraid to argue any further.
